Boys and Girls Bowling at State

On the weekend of February 29 and March 1st the girls and boys bowling teams competed at the state level.  For the girls this was the first time in the history of the program.  However, for the boys it was their fourth consecutive trip to the state finals.

The girls showed how young they were at the state competition by coming in 18th place at the finals.  “This was a learning experience for our girls.  They are very young yet, most of the girls are in the tenth grade.  Will be back next year” said a enthusastic Coach Moon.

On the boys side they made the cut after the qualifiying play and were seeded number one.  They then went up against our regional champs of Grand Rapids Northview.  Fremont had a total pinfall of 1761 and Northview had a total pinfall of 1828; which was good enough to beat the Packers.

Both teams had a great season.

The lady Packers finished tied for first in the conference and made it to state for the first time in six years.

The guys are on a roll when it comes to making it to state and are looking forward to making it for the fifth straight year next season.

Congrats everyone!

Justin
